We have a wonderful surprise for our Brittingham Farms, Lavender & Lambs loyalists.  We are offering an exclusive opportunity to witness Sheep Shearing Day up close and personal.  We are happy to share our wonderful shearer, Hoyt Emmons from Pennsburg, Pennsylvania with 10 exclusive behind the scenes tickets.  Hoyt is an American Sheep Industry Certified Shearer, who brings years of experience and care of shearing to many flocks in our region.   With the care of the sheep and wool, this celebration of spring will start at 1:00pm on Saturday April 22 and last to about 5pm, guests are welcome to stay the duration or leave as you wish.  We will celebrate the annual shearing of our sheep with a beautiful spread of food and drinks out in the pasture of the home residence of Brittingham Farms.  We will offer First State Charcuterie and champagne while you witness all 22 of our adult sheep being shorn for the season.  Sit back and relax, and take in the sights of shearing our flock, while the newest baby lambs play around your feet waiting for their momma’s turn to be finished.  It’s a wonderful tradition that is centuries old, and we want to invite 10 guests to share it with us.  You will learn all about the Leicester Longwool breed from owners, Laura & Jon Brittingham, and guests may even take a turn with Hoyt in the shearing demonstration!  Adults over 21 years only. 

Rain info: Since our flock must be dry for shearing safety, rain the day before or forecasted the day of will result in a rain date rescheduling, refunds will be honored for rain date conflicts.
