A Ceremony in the Landscape

Our signature 14-by-14-foot white pavilion, with its Chippendale railings, makes a distinctive ceremony setting in the lavender field. The pond and other available areas of the property offer additional possibilities. Every season lends the landscape a different character; lavender typically blooms from
late May through late July, with exact timing determined by nature.

 

Cocktail Hour in the Garden or on the Porch

After the ceremony, invite your guests to gather in the garden behind the farm store, where a European fountain brings a sense of occasion to an outdoor cocktail hour. Or welcome them to the covered porch of the wedding barn for drinks and conversation overlooking the farm. Each space has its own atmosphere, giving you and your planner the freedom to shape the transition from ceremony to dinner.

A string quartet in the garden, signature cocktails on the porch, or another idea entirely can be brought to life with the vendors you choose. If the forecast changes, the covered venue porch offers a sheltered option for cocktail hour; we will work with you and your planning team on a weather plan suited to your layout and guest count.

Dinner and Dancing in the Wedding Barn

The wedding barn offers more than 6,000 square feet for an evening of dinner and dancing. Chandeliers and soft lighting lend warmth to its generous proportions, while the open interior gives your florist, designer, and planner room to make the space distinctly yours. Guests can move between the festivities inside and the covered porch as the evening unfolds.

The celebration might conclude with a visit from an ice cream truck and a sparkler send-off. Couples hosting guests from farther afield may choose to arrange transportation between hotels near the Delaware beaches and the farm, so everyone can relax into the evening and travel back together. These are simply possibilities; we welcome the ideas and creative partners you bring to the day.

The Freedom to Make It Yours
Choose the caterer, planner, florist, musicians, and other professionals who understand your vision. We do not require couples to select from a preferred vendor list. With one wedding hosted each week and property access beginning Tuesday morning for a Saturday celebration, there is time for thoughtful preparation and a rehearsal before the day arrives. Our team sets the ceremony chairs so that your chosen setting is ready for your vows.

The wedding barn seats up to 150 guests. We will discuss the best arrangement for your guest count, including cocktail hour locations and a suitable weather plan, during your tour. Vendor services, additional rentals, transportation, and any applicable restroom arrangements are planned separately and detailed in your proposal and agreements.
